Take away- the food was rank and didn’t appear fresh.
Chow mien was dry and greasy, the special fried rice was stodgy and an odd pinkish colour.
Curry sauce- well if you can’t get that right it’s time to shut the doors.
Seriously wouldn’t recommend this place, flush your money straight down the toilet and save yourself a disappointing experience!
Update:
So that experience was Sunday evening -
On Tuesday evening house of Tim sent a duplicate order of the meal I reviewed. This was without any direct communication with them and down to the fact they’d read my review and wanted to apologise.
Well well well, what a turn around- this replacement meal was truly delicious, fresh, well cooked.
Chow mien and special fried rice were excellent, everything was piping hot and tasted as you’d expect from a decent Chinese.
Better still was this approach to customer dissatisfaction- they got something wrong and they apologised!
Well done house of Tim and I look forward to ordering from you again.
I enjoyed the interior of the shop. It was very unique in a good way, the food was delicious and they food was served very quick. I am happy about this place and I will definitely come again. Very recommended.
Listen up nerds - House of Tim is where it's at.
The food is honestly - iconic.
I had the sweet and sour chicken balls, with some white rice, and prawn toast and had at total foodgasm. This take-away is delicious as f.
I gotta tell you - I've had plenty of balls in my mouth and the sweet and sour chicken balls were THE most delicious I've ever had.
If you're not getting your 'Chinese' from the House of Tim you're mentally ill - and good luck dealing with that because there is ZERO funding for the NHS right now.
